Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. You can use Bad Days completely anonymously without providing an email address, or sign in with Apple or Google if you want cloud backup.
Where are my entries stored?
On your device by default. Entries and voice notes are only backed up to the cloud if you choose to enable syncing.
Can I lock the app?
Yes. You can lock your journal behind Face ID or Touch ID for an extra layer of privacy.
Is my writing ever used for advertising?
Never. Your journal is not used for advertising, not sold, and not shared with third parties.
What stays free?
Writing, journaling, voice notes, emotional tracking, calming exercises, crisis resources, and biometric protection are always free. Bad Days Plus adds cloud backup, mood insights, PDF exports, premium themes, and the full soundscape collection.
