This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Bad Days mobile application. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

• Journal entries, voice recordings, and mood data: The diary itself, kept on your device unless you enable cloud sync (stored on your device).
• Account information: Only if you choose to sign in with Apple or Google; anonymous use collects no email or name (stored in the cloud).
• Backed-up entries and recordings: Synced only when you turn on cloud backup, so your journal survives a lost phone (stored in the cloud).

We collect nothing beyond what is listed above.

Your information is used only to provide and operate Bad Days and its features, to fix bugs, and to improve performance. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: Backend database, authentication, and cloud storage for backed-up journals. Privacy policy ↗

These services may collect information as described in their own privacy policies.

All data transfers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and data is stored with the providers listed above using industry-standard security measures.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, and deletion is permanent and irreversible. See the support page for step-by-step instructions.

Bad Days is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time and will note significant changes by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
