Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the WedWisely mobile application. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

• Account info (name, email, profile photo): Created only if you sign in with Apple or Google; guest mode collects none of this (stored in the cloud).
• Wedding and financial planning data: Events, budgets, expenses, payments, vendors, gifts, and savings goals you enter, synced to your account so they're available across devices (stored in the cloud).
• Guest list details: Names, contact info, RSVP status, and dietary notes for the guests you add, entered by you about other people (stored in the cloud).
• Documents and receipts you attach: Contracts, receipts, and quotes uploaded to private storage, visible only to you and collaborators with access (stored in the cloud).
• Receipt photos and assistant questions: Sent to Anthropic's Claude API to extract receipt data or answer your questions from your own wedding data, only when you use those features (stored in the cloud).
• Guest-mode data: Everything you enter without an account stays only on your device and is never sent to our servers (stored on your device).
• Subscription status: An entitlement flag and RevenueCat identifier so Premium features unlock correctly (stored in the cloud).

We collect nothing beyond what is listed above.

Your information is used only to provide and operate WedWisely and its features, to fix bugs, and to improve performance. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following third-party services:

• Apple: Sign in with Apple and App Store payment processing. Privacy policy ↗

These services may collect information as described in their own privacy policies.

All data transfers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and data is stored with the providers listed above using industry-standard security measures.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, and deletion is permanent and irreversible. See the support page for step-by-step instructions.

WedWisely is not directed at children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

• Opt out of notifications at any time via device settings.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time and will note significant changes by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
