Frequently asked questions

What is a Thread?

A session where every question links to the last through a real shared idea, drawn from a knowledge graph of 1,465 questions and about 17,500 connections between them, 37% of which cross into a different subject. A typical thread crosses five or six subjects in seven questions, and the connection is named on screen as you cross it.

What is the Constellation?

A map of everything you've learned. Every question is a star; answer two connected ones and a line appears between them. It's the real record of your progress, pannable and zoomable, replacing the old weekly chart.

What's the shared daily thread?

Each day, every player walks the same thread, seeded so it's identical for everyone. It's worth 1.5× XP and is never gated behind Curioza+.

What is Speed Round?

Sixty seconds, as many questions as you can answer. Difficulty ramps from easy to hard, and every explanation is waiting for you on the results screen once time's up.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no email, and no password. Open the app and start; your progress lives on your device.

What happens to my streak if I reinstall or switch phones?

If you subscribe, your purchase is tied to your App Store account, so reinstalling or moving to a new device signed into the same Apple ID restores it automatically with no sign-in step.

What is free and what needs Curioza+?

Three sessions a day, every topic, and the shared daily thread are always free. Curioza+ unlocks unlimited sessions and threads drawn from a bigger slice of the graph, so they reach further across subjects on average (6.09 vs 4.55 for free threads), plus deeper stats and expert-difficulty questions.

How do I turn off daily reminders?

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device and can be disabled at any time in Settings.
