Candle is a warm, beautifully designed way to remember the birthdays, anniversaries, and life occasions of the people who matter to you, and actually follow through on them.
Track occasions with layered reminders that arrive weeks, days, and hours ahead, and build out your circle by adding people manually or importing from your contacts, organized into groups. A gift vault keeps ideas, wishlists, and what you've already given each person, sizes and all.
A celebration planner turns each occasion into a checklist, from booking the restaurant to picking up the gift, and insights show your year of celebrations at a glance: busiest months, closest circle, longest relationships. Your data lives on your device first; an optional account keeps it synced across devices.

Questions
Do I need an account?
No. Candle works fully offline with local storage by default. Creating an account is optional and only needed for Premium's cross-device sync.
Can I import my contacts?
Yes, optionally. Tapping Import from Contacts lets you choose which contacts to bring in, and Candle only reads the names, numbers, emails, birthdays, and photos of the people you actually pick.
What happens to photos I add?
Candle accesses your photo library or camera only at the moment you add a picture for someone, with your permission, and stores it for that person.
What's free and what needs Candle Premium?
The core app works with local storage. Premium unlocks unlimited people and occasions, full reminders, insights, the gift vault, and cross-device sync.
How do I back up my data?
Settings → Export data creates a full backup you can restore later. Since local data lives on your device, it's worth keeping your own backup, especially before switching devices.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual people or occasions, or delete your account entirely, at any time from Settings.
Is my data sold or used for advertising?
No. Candle doesn't sell your data and doesn't use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. Your contacts, photos, and notes are never read for anything other than displaying them back to you in the app.

Before you start
Candle helps you remember important dates, but reminders depend on your device's notification settings and connectivity, and local data on your device remains accessible even if sync is unavailable. Keep your own backups from Settings → Export data, since Candle and its developers aren't liable for missed reminders or lost data.
