This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the AskIRL mobile application. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

• Saved connections: Handles, numbers, or messages the other person typed themselves when they said yes (stored on your device).
• Favourited and custom approaches: Approaches you favourite or write yourself (stored on your device).
• Activity counts: Used to power the in-app Insights screen (stored on your device).
• App settings: Haptics, motion, screen-awake, emoji choices, and your analytics preference (stored on your device).
• Anonymous usage counts (optional): How approaches are started and finished and which vibes are chosen, tied to a random on-device identifier that can't be linked to you; off by default to review, switchable in Settings (stored in the cloud).
• Subscription status: Whether AskIRL+ is active, confirmed by RevenueCat; no payment details are ever received (stored in the cloud).

We collect nothing beyond what is listed above.

Your information is used only to provide and operate AskIRL and its features, to fix bugs, and to improve performance. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Play: Processes AskIRL+ payments on Android; billing details are never received by AskIRL. Privacy policy ↗

• RevenueCat: Confirms whether a subscription is currently active. Privacy policy ↗
• PostHog: Receives anonymous usage counts only if you enable analytics in Settings, structured so it can't include anything anyone typed. Privacy policy ↗

These services may collect information as described in their own privacy policies.

All data transfers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and data is stored with the providers listed above using industry-standard security measures.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, and deletion is permanent and irreversible. See the support page for step-by-step instructions.

AskIRL is not directed at children under the age of 17, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time and will note significant changes by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
